If you don't vote

“As far back as I can remember, my mom took me to the polling places on Election Day,” said Hannah, a 19-year-old college sophomore from Arlington. “She’d let me push the buttons and I couldn’t wait until I was old enough to vote myself.”

This year will be the first year that Hannah will be able to vote in a presidential election—and she can’t wait.

“Voting is a privilege, and when you look at countries where people can’t vote or express their opinions, you realize the importance of democracy,” Hannah said. “It’s so easy and so important.”

Hannah tells her friends, “If Romney wins and our country takes a dive in the wrong direction, you have no right to complain if you didn’t vote.”
