Sioux Falls State of the Union Watch Party

The State of the Union watch party in Sioux Falls, SD was a great success with over 50 people braving the snowy weather to attend.
There were many points when the crowd applauded during President Obama’s speech. The crowd was enthusiastic about President Obama’s ideas for bring jobs back to America and ensuring equal pay for equal work. Our dairy farmers also nodded and laughed in agreement with the mention of doing away with rules that don’t make sense.

Some of the remarks after the speech were very poignant. Ryan C., who is in the Navy remarked, “As a member of the military, I thought the President made a strong point when he talked about Democrats and Republicans serving together on the same team.“

Ann T., a retired teacher, appreciated what President Obama said about education. “The President gives credit to the tremendous impact a teacher makes in student achievement. Of all the factors that impact student achievement, none matter more than a quality teacher.”
Guests left excited about the great volunteer opportunities for the upcoming election and were energized about getting to work.
