Silver Spring and Takoma Park Kick-off the 2012 Campaign

Over 110 of President Obama's best supporters turned out last week for a meeting at Takoma Park Middle School. Community Organizer for Silver Spring and Takoma Park, Mark F., chaired the meeting and long-time community activist Tony H. introduced Senator Jamie Raskin. Also in attendance to support the President were Senator Roger Manno, Delegate Tom Hucker, and County Councilman Hans Reimer.

Mark talked to the crowd about the many ways that supporters could participate in the 2012 campaign for President Obama. Following this session was a Q&A period that followed, in which supporters discussed issues relating to the economy, health care, immigration reform and well as what local actions are needed to win in 2012.

To show their support for President Obama's campaign, many volunteers posed for "I'm In" pictures holding many of our colorful signs and letting us know why they believe in our President. To see these pictures or volunteer with us and drop by our headquarters at 3750 University Blvd., W. Kensington, MD, 20895.
