It was a busy weekend for us. On Saturday, we were out registering voters and collecting “I’m IN” pledge cards to help grow our grassroots organization and build momentum for President Obama’s re-election campaign. In Columbia, we set up at the Midlands Business Referral Network, a young professionals networking event held at the Tony Thomas Family Karate center. In North Charleston, we were at the Convention Center for the Black Expo, a trade show featuring exhibitors and vendors from minority-owned businesses. Both events were a great success – we collected hundreds of pledge cards from people who stand by the progress we’ve made under President Obama’s leadership and met new supporters excited to get involved in our organization.
