South Carolina Women for Obama to Host 'Dials and Dessert' Phone Bank

Women for Obama in Richland County are hosting a 'Dials and Dessert' phone bank this Thursday at the campaign's state headquarters in Columbia to engage women voters and talk with them about what President Obama and his administration have done for women and their families. Over a dessert potluck, volunteers will make phone calls to protect the progress we've made over the last nearly three years.

President Obama has been a strong advocate for women and a defender of the issues that are important to them. The first bill he signed into law was the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which makes it easier for women to get equal pay for equal work. President Obama has also appointed more women to Cabinet-rank positions and the Supreme Court than any President in their first term.

From fair pay to education and access to quality health care, the President's agenda is one that showcases his commitment to ensuring that we provide security to working and middle class families by building an economy where responsibility is rewarded, hard work pays, and everyone plays by the rules.
