Putting Congress on notice for immigration reform

Action August is underway, and today OFA supporters are demanding progress on comprehensive immigration reform.

In June, the Senate passed a bill with bipartisan support, but since then the House of Representatives has yet to act. At a recent town hall, Representative Paul Ryan committed to a vote on the pathway to citizenship in October, but it's up to us to ensure that happens.

All across the nation, OFA volunteers will host community action events today—getting together to make their voices heard by key members of Congress. Desperate for reform, people are hosting phone banks, press conferences and other high-profile events in key communities and at small businesses. Most importantly, OFA volunteers are visiting members of Congress to make sure they stand behind comprehensive reform efforts.

Together, we are lifting up the voices of DREAMers, small business owners and constituents who care about immigration reform. If you also want Congress to pass immigration reform, find an Action August event near you.

Tell Congress: Don't stand in the way of our future—stand with it.
