Pushing the House to end the government shutdown

A group of Tea Party Republicans in the House of Representatives has forced a government shutdown in a failed attempt to derail Obamacare, and OFA isn't going to let them off the hook. Their irresponsible choices are putting the American people's hard-earned progress at risk, and on Wednesday, OFA supporters across the country made sure they knew it by standing up and saying: Enough already.

Albuquerque, New Mexico—Dozens of people (and four news outlets) assembled outside a social security office.

Nashville, Tennessee—OFA supporters joined military veterans outside of a Veterans Administration building. "What Republicans have done to shut down the government over their obsession to take health care away only hurts veterans and military families," said Marine Officer Bob Tuke. "They should be ashamed. We are better than this."

Tucson, Arizona—Dozens of OFA-AZ volunteers gathered outside City Hall.

Las Vegas, Nevada—Supporters rallied on the street outside of Representative Joe Heck's congressional office. “Since Obamacare has been implemented my health insurance costs have been cut in half," said Lucie Sample, community leader and Heck constituent. "That helps me take care of my family."

Tell Congress this isn't a game. Tell Speaker Boehner to stand up to the extremists in his own party and put a stop this.
