"President Obama’s been a great advocate for veterans"

Josh from New Hampshire

"President Obama’s been a great advocate for veterans. Between voting for and implementing the POST-9/11 G.I. Bill, he’s proven his commitment to veterans and their families time and time again. He has kept his promises and demonstrated his strength as Commander-in-Chief by ending the war in Iraq responsibly.

"I decided to join the service because I grew up listening to stories about my grandfather who was a World War II veteran and prisoner of war. Hearing about his experiences inspired me to join the Army. Everyone sacrificed during World War II, but then the greatest generation returned home and used the G.I. Bill to create the middle class and make America an economic powerhouse.

"The post-9/11 G.I. Bill went into effect in 2009, and that’s how I had the opportunity to attend the University of New Hampshire School of Law. I always wanted to go to law school, and this gave me the chance to pursue that dream.

"I’m definitely doing better than I was four years ago. And it's thanks to Barack Obama."
