The success of OFA relies on mobilizing individuals on the most local level to bring about real change. This weekend, leaders nationwide came together to plan what this will look like in their neighborhoods in the coming months.
Attendees discussed how best to build and establish local OFA chapters, think strategically, drive local news coverage, and engage their communities on a host of issues in 2013 and beyond.
"The session on planning our issue campaign was really substantive," said Kathy, a volunteer from New York. "I've been an active volunteer for years, but this was new and will help us build our organization locally."
This weekend's conferences are just one example of ways people across the country are coming together, taking action, and fighting for change.
