OFA’s 13 favorite LGBT organizing moments in 2013

What a year. Take a look back at our 13 favorite LGBT organizing moments of 2013, chosen by some of the organizers on the ground who helped make them happen.

1. For starters, 2013 gave us this:

2. And OFA volunteers across the country showed they know #LoveIsLove.

3. Then Prop 8 and DOMA were struck down on the same day.

4. New Jersey legalized gay marriage.

5. And so did Hawaii.

6. And so did Illinois.

7. And so did New Mexico, Delaware, Utah, Rhode Island, and Minnesota.

8. Together we celebrated National Coming Out Day.

9. President Obama called on Congress to pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.

10. And OFA joined the call.

11. We shared our stories and fought for equality.

12. And we made new friends.

13. The Senate passed ENDA in November and sent it to the House for a vote.

This year, we had a lot of reasons to celebrate—but our work is not done. If these moments make you proud, chip in to keep the action going in 2014.
