On the ballot in New Jersey

Obama for America volunteers and staff delivered petitions with nearly 11,000 signatures to the New Jersey Department of State – Division of Elections, putting President Obama on the ballot for the primary in June. Following last month's New Jersey headquarters opening in North Brunswick, over the past two months volunteers collected signatures from every corner of the state in support of the President.

After the petition delivery, Obama for America New Jersey State Director Jackie Cornell-Bechelli said:

The election in November represents a clear choice for Americans between continuing to create jobs and restore economic security for hard working Americans or the Republican candidates want to return to the same economic policies that lead to the economic recession. This campaign is counting on people across New Jersey to take on a leadership role in their community and help reelect President Obama to a second term.”
