NYC is IN for 2012

Last week New York was lucky enough to have President Barack Obama come and speak at the Town Hall in Manhattan. Naturally, volunteers were out in full force. With such an supportive crowd we expected good things, but once again our volunteers far and away surpassed all expectations. We are happy to report that we got over one thousand New Yorkers to commit to being "In" for Obama 2012.

Equally impressive were the more than two hundred people who signed up to volunteer at or attend for one of our upcoming events. We have several coming up soon in NYC. Check out the links to learn more and RSVP:

Wednesday, May 4th at 1 PM

Wednesday, May 4th at 6:30 PM

Thursday, May 5th at 6 PM

Tuesday, May 10th at 6:30 PM

Finally, we scheduled or conducted dozens of 1:1 conversations with Obama supporters. Our 1:1 initiative is our newest program, but we're very excited about it and have been getting overwhelmingly positive feedback so far. In case you haven't heard about it yet, the initiative allows New York voters to talk directly to our staff or volunteers about what’s important to them and what they want to see out of the campaign. We want to know what’s on your mind as 2012 approaches because this campaign is about you.

Do you have any questions, comments, or concerns about President Obama or his 2012 reelection bid? Drop by any time between 1pm and 5pm at OFA New York's headquarters at 25 E 21st St. and let’s talk about it!

The event was a huge success, and we'd like to thank our volunteers and community organizers who made these achievements possible. If you want to get involved in volunteer events like this one in your community, sign up here or come by and visit us!
