From the South Valley to Santa Fe, from Las Cruces to Los Lunas, New Mexico’s Hispanics are fired up and ready to fight to secure victory for President Obama and other Democrats!
Last night, Organizing for America New Mexico launched Hispanics for Obama with house parties across the state and a national conference call with campaign leaders and entertainer (and outspoken supporter of the President) George Lopez.
Here are just a few memorable events from last night’s launch:
- In Albuquerque, small business owner and veteran Dennis Serafin got a chance to ask Lopez about the President’s initiatives to help put veterans back to work.
- In Las Cruces, college students made calls on behalf of the President, highlighting his work to boost access to economic opportunity, education and access to quality, affordable healthcare for Hispanics.
- In Santa Fe, supporters gathered at the home of Delia Trevino de Zisman and plan next steps for engaging friends and neighbors in the work to re-elect the President and protect access to opportunity for Hispanics in New Mexico.
We’re just getting started! Over the next month, we’ll register new voters, have personal conversations with thousands of members of the Hispanic community statewide and more.
