New York launches Latinos for Obama

It was standing room only last week in an East Village living room, where supporters gathered for a house party to launch Latinos for Obama in New York. The group gathered around a cell phone to dial into the national kickoff conference call with George Lopez, and planned for organizing together in the months between now and November.

After everyone shared their reasons for getting involved in this campaign, they planned out next steps. From attending an organizer's bootcamp training in Manhattan, to brainstorming about a Bachata party fundraiser and planning trips to canvass in Philadelphia, this group is definitely fired up and ready to go!
