After only 2 weeks in office as the chair of the Democratic National Committee, Debbie Wasserman Schultz made a visit to Raleigh, North Carolina to meet directly with the volunteers that have been working so hard. All across North Carolina, volunteers have been working hard to engage former volunteers through our “I’m In” Campaign.
Volunteers welcomed Chair Wasserman Schultz to one of the largest phone banks we’ve seen in a while. This large outreach event was fit welcome for the newly elected chair, who is committed to lead a party that is focused on outreach and community organizing. Many of the attendees were loyal deliverers of change in 2008 and voiced that they were excited to be back “In” during opening introductions.
Together, the Chair alongside our volunteers were making calls to Obama supporters, encouraging them to gear up for the 2012 campaign by saying "I'm In."
“North Carolina is the heart and soul of the re-election campaign of President Obama.” –Chair Wasserman Schultz. We all know it's our volunteers who are the heart and soul of our effort here in NC. So together, alongside the Chair, our neighbors and our friends, our work for 2012 begins.
Chair Wasserman Schultz acknowledged the work of our volunteers saying, “It is so incredibly important that we roll up our sleeves and do the work that you all are doing here."
