Mother's Day fact 4: Mothers have recourse to ensure equal pay for equal work

President Obama signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Restoration Act into law his first week on the job. As a result, hundreds of thousands of women in New Hampshire who work outside the home have recourse to ensure they are receiving equal pay for equal work.

Where's Mitt Romney on the issue of equal pay? When his campaign was asked about their position on Ledbetter Act, there was a full 5 seconds of silence on the line. Then an aide responded, “We’ll get back to you on that.”

New Hampshire women don't have to wait for Mitt Romeny to make up his mind — the President of the United States knows exactly where he stands.

Note: this is the fourth in a series of posts highlighting what President Obama has accomplished for women since last Mother's Day. We'll post one of these a day through Sunday. Here's yesterday's post.
