Tell us a little about yourself
I'm currently a sophomore at the University of Missouri (Go Tigers!) and I'm majoring in Journalism and Political Science as well as minoring in French. New York City will be my final destination, because it's magical and amazing and everything I could ever ask for in a city, but before I get there I want to join the Peace Corps, a dream I've had since I was thirteen. Right now I'm just enjoying the ride and hoping that the things I do today, will eventually lead me in the direction I want to go.

What has President Obama done during his first term that you are most proud of?
As a huge supporter of LGBT rights, I'd have to say that President Obama's evolved stance on this issue is what I'm most proud of. His work to repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell and coming out in support of gay marriage shows me that although these stances aren't the most popular, President Obama will take a stand for what is right. I think that is incredibly admirable.

Why did you decide to become an OFA-Missouri Summer Organizing Fellow?
I was in my political science class listening to a lecture about elections and I thought how cool it would be to be part of an election campaign. Intrigued and excited with the prospect of working with the Obama campaign, I immediately applied to become a summer fellow!

Why is it important for Missourians should join with you in grassroot organizing this summer?
Missourians should join our organizing campaign this summer because every effort helps. We lost Missouri by less than one vote per precinct in 2008. That is so incredibly close it hurts. It proves that we need to work harder this time to make sure Obama carries Missouri in November. Every vote does matter. Every person matters and in order to make sure we get out the vote, each of us needs to join in.
