It's time to give America a raise

This week, volunteers across the country hit the streets to highlight the need to raise the minimum wage and create an economy that works for everyone. Check out some of the action:

Austin, Texas—Texas volunteers were out in their communities to talk about how a higher minimum wage will give workers more money to spend, which will give businesses more customers.

Chicago, Illinois—Representative Jan Schakowsky fired up OFA-Illinois volunteers in Chicago.

Los Angeles, California—These OFA-LA volunteers encouraged drivers to boost the noise by honking for raising the wage at the Federal Building.

Miami, Florida—Local news WFTV spoke with volunteer Vivian Johnson about the need to raise the wage and support working families.

Cleveland, Ohio—Supporters and volunteers got together with their new class of OFA Spring Fellows outside of Senator Rob Portman's office to call on the Senator to raise the wage and create a better bargain for American families.

OFA's work to raise the minimum wage is gaining momentum, but we're not there yet. If you think no one who works full time should have to raise their family in poverty, now's the time to get involved. Say you're in.
