Tegan and Maria are two students from UNH and they have both just moved back to school for the start of term. With everything still in suitcases Tegan and Maria got to work on organizing their campus convention watch party. Maria is happy to be living out of suitcases for a couple more days so she can support the President on Thursday.
“I see hosting a watch party here on campus as my way of saying thanks to the President. I want him to know how his achievements have made a real difference to students like me. Increasing Pell Grant funding has guaranteed the chance for friends and fellow students the chance to attend college and secure their future. As students we have a lot to thank him for. I am so excited to get a chance to help the campaign by hosting our watch party.”
Maria and Tegan know how important students are to the final outcome of this election, and know how important it is that every student on campus is aware of their options in November.
“We want to get as many people involved in volunteering on campus from now until November as possible and our watch party is going to provide a great opportunity for us to do this. The President’s speech is definitely going to be a great boost for us here and I can’t wait to get out and talk to fellow students on Friday morning. I know we will all be pretty fired up!”
