Massachusetts Welcomes Our 2012 Spring Fellows

This past weekend, the Obama for America team in Massachusetts welcomed our 2012 spring organizer fellows with a two-day training kickoff in Boston.

Made up of veterans, teachers, students, union members, and one former President of his school's College Republicans, this diverse group of more than 40 spring fellows will be working across the state to build strong grassroots teams in their community or on their campus.

Their first weekend, the fellows met key volunteer leaders and heard directly from OFA Massachusetts State Director, Carl Nilsson, about what we need to do to ensure a victory in November. The training included an overview of the campaign strategy, a guide on building neighborhood teams, and a session to practice telling their personal stories and talking about the President Obama’s first term accomplishments. The spring fellows bonded with one another and are all committed to working to build a strong organization that can help re-elect President Obama this November. They are all certainly fired up and ready to go!
