Writing in support of Obamacare

As more and more Americans gain access to affordable care thanks to Obamacare, they're letting people know. Here's a look at just a few of the stories that have already run in the letter-to-the-editor pages of local papers:

I was able to assist two middle-aged women without health insurance obtain reasonably priced Affordable Care Act insurance — as advertised. Without access to continuing health care since the great recession, their multiple treatable pre-existing conditions worsened and threatened their very existence. I am happy that they will again have access to continuing care, preventive assessment and lives freer from physical pain and unwarranted anxiety because of Obamacare.
—Woods W. Rogers III, MD, Tampa, Florida.

I recently enrolled in Obamacare; it was overwhelmingly a positive experience for me.
—Michelle Holtzman, Pahrump, Nevada.

Without the Affordable Care Act, my family would be on the way to financial destitution, and I would be facing a sooner-than-necessary death. I am still working, contributing to my business, helping my clients, paying taxes and being a productive member of society, thanks to Obamacare.
—Frederick Hutchins, CPA, Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.

Health insurance shouldn't be a luxury reserved for the privileged among us—it's a right we all should enjoy. Because of Obamacare, 3 million young adults under the age of 26 are now able to stay on their parent's plan. More than 6 million seniors pay less for prescription drugs. And 105 million Americans no longer have lifetime limits on how much their insurance will cover.

These aren't just statistics; Obamacare is having a real effect on people's lives—you can read it in their stories.

Despite millions of Americans already seeing the benefits of health reform, opponents will stop at nothing to derail it. That's why we're pushing back and defending the law, every day. Join the fight—join Team Obamacare.
