Kids: Write a Letter to President Obama

While most people in attendance at the Sioux Falls State of the Union Party were adults, special consideration was made for the President's youngest fans. Our party featured a kids' table complete with coloring pages, activities, stickers and crayons. We also had a special letter-writing kit with paper, envelopes and letter-writing tips so that the children could write letters to President Obama with the promise that we would mail them.

Write a letter

This promise still stands! Moms and Dads, grandparents, friends and neighbors: If you know a young Obama fan who would like to send him a letter, here are a few hints straight from the White House website:

If you write a letter, please consider typing it on an 8 1/2 by 11 inch sheet of paper.

If you hand-write your letter, please consider using pen and writing as neatly as possible.

Please include your return address on your letter as well as your envelope. If you have an email address, please consider including that as well.
And finally, be sure to include the full address of the White House to make sure you message gets to us as quickly and directly as possible:

The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500

Stop by the SD OFA office to drop off your letter and we'll mail it for you!

So kids, grab you paper and pens and get writing!
