In the news: "Auto sales surge in August"

From the Detroit News this morning:

Detroit's Big 3 beat analyst expectations in August, posting double-digit sales increases in a better-than-expected month for automakers.

Chrysler Group LLC's August sales were up 14 percent, the best in five years, the Auburn Hills automaker said Tuesday, besting analyst projections. General Motors Co. sales jumped 10 percent, about double expectations, and Ford Motor Co. sales were up 13 percent, about three percentage points higher than anticipated.
