“Great benefits”

“I was a first-generation college student, from a low-income, single-parent household. Now as 22-year-old college graduate in a minimum wage job, I cannot afford to pay for the insurance my employer offers. I do, however, get to stay on my mom’s health insurance plan, which will pay for 100 percent of my medical visits and vaccines required by the veterinary school that just accepted me, including a $700 vaccine series.

“Mom: ‘Great benefits! And you’re covered until age 26.’

“Me: ‘Obama did that!’
