Almost one third of votes cast in the 2008 presidential election were submitted before Election Day through early voting.

Now Republican-led legislatures are working to restrict early voting in states across the country, making it more difficult for many Americans to cast their ballots. This week’s edition of Friday Facts takes a look at why it’s important to protect access to early voting.
