Recapping Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in Florida

Volunteers across Florida got active this weekend to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Statewide we pitched in to help with community service events like winter clothing and canned food drives, and encouraged hundreds of our friends and neighbors to get registered to vote in 2012.

Everyone did their part, including actress Kerry Washington who joined OFA-Florida volunteers for a full day of celebrations—marching in the Liberty City parade, urging everyone at the festival in Hallandale to get involved, and more.

It's exciting to see people fired up for 2012 because we can't wait, and neither should you. Be a part of it by signing up today to volunteer.
