Over the weekend we welcomed our final class of organizing fellows to the OFA-NH team. Our fellows come from all different walks of life, from students to retirees, and everyone in between, it’s what makes this program so fantastic. Our fellows bring their own stories and experiences of why they have volunteered on the campaign, their own motivations, with new ideas and new energy. It's amazing to see fresh faces all fired up and ready to go.
With just eight short weeks left before Election Day there is a lot of work to do. Lloyd is one of our new fall fellows, and is now based out in our OFA-Laconia office. He shares why he decided to get involved:
“I've always supported the President and when I received an email about the Fellowship program, I knew it was something I had to be a part of. I understand firsthand the importance of getting Americans back to work, and I believe President Obama is exactly the leader to keep the country moving forward. We don't need a change at the top to erase out progress we've made.”
The economy isn't the only issue that's deciding this one for Lloyd. He spent six years working in Iraq and the President's leadership made a strong impression on him there. He told us:
“It was really clear how President Obama immediately demonstrated his strength as a foreign policy leader. The prospect of a Romney-Ryan government does make me truly nervous, I'm just not sure where they would take us.”
With just eight short weeks left of this campaign there hasn’t been a better time to get involved. Whether you're making calls, knocking on doors, or spreading the President’s message among family and friends on Facebook every minute you can spare can make all the difference. Help the President today and volunteer right now.
