Emma: “I can live with a little bit more hope”

“I’m an 18-year-old soon-to-be college freshman. This past January, days after I turned 18, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS for short), which means that I have a hormone imbalance. I endured hospitalizations and pain, but thanks to Obamacare, I will have the insurance I need to keep my medication and the coverage should the unfortunate circumstance arise that I will be hospitalized again during and after college.

“I now can live with a little bit more hope. Living with the knowledge that I’ll be taken care of when needed makes me so happy. So, thank you. Thank you for caring about the future of this country. I am a registered nonpartisan voter. You have my vote in November for doing the right thing.”
