David Axelrod, former Senior Advisor to President Obama, visits Neighborhood Team Leaders in Phoenix

David Axelrod, one of President Obama’s Senior Advisers during his first term, came to Phoenix last week to talk with neighborhood team leaders about the 2012 campaign. His speech as very inspiring! Axelrod laid out many of President Obama’s accomplishments and thanked the volunteers for their hard work. Axelrod spent some one-on-one time with several neighborhood team leaders, attentively listening to their stories, concerns, and taking pictures with them.

When told he was going to visit an OFA office on his trip to Phoenix, Axelrod asked for more time to spend with the volunteers. He understands, like we all do in Arizona, that President Obama’s campaign is maintained by the grassroots. Some volunteers even brought small donations for the 2012 reelection campaign. Axelrod came to Phoenix to spread the President’s jobs message and make sure that the neighborhood team leaders understood it was their movement.
