Today: Defend DACA

Today is the day. Add your voice to help make an impact.

OFA supporters are standing up to defend the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA), which provides hope and protection for DREAMers—undocumented immigrant youth who have been in this country since childhood and know it as home.

DACA is under imminent threat, and as the administration is being pressured to dismantle the program—turning their backs on nearly 800,000 young adults who are benefiting from this program and making important contributions to our country and economy—it's critical for us to keep speaking out and defending it.

Even if you can't make it to an event today, you can still make your voice heard. Get involved by letting your friends, family, and networks know where you stand:

DACA has allowed immigrant youth to pursue college degrees, serve in the military, and hold jobs without the constant threat of being deported. But the administration's debate on the program's future strips them of that peace of mind. We must urge the administration not to dismantle the program and ask Congress to speak up to preserve DACA until there is a lasting legislative solution that protects DREAMers.

So today, take a minute to speak out about the cruel impact that ending DACA would have.

This is Part V in the series.
