Who would you thank for climate action this Thanksgiving?

Today OFA and climate activist groups across the country are all taking some time to tweet out some #ClimateThanks to people who deserve it. This is a moment to thank the people who have led or organized the efforts to tackle the threat of climate change.

For me, I want to start by saying thanks to all the Organizing for Action volunteers who have held a planning session, waved a rally sign, confronted a climate change denier, or organized a town hall event. I'm inspired by your work every day.

Then I want to thank EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy (@GinaEPA) for her work. And thanks also to Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (@SenWhitehouse) for going to the floor of the Senate 50 times to talk about climate change.

And thanks to Major League Baseball, the National Football League, the National Hockey League, and the National Basketball Association for all acknowledging the reality of climate change and taking action to reduce carbon pollution: @MLB, @NFL, @NHL, and @NBA.

I have a much longer list, but this is a good place to start. Join in—who do you want to thank? Use the hashtag #ClimateThanks and start firing off some gratitude. And Happy Thanksgiving from the OFA climate issues team.
