On Wednesday, April 18th, we'll kick off Latinos for Obama with house parties across the country where folks will talk about the issues we care about the most and how we plan to organize among Latinos. Folks will also dial into a national conference call with actor and comedian George Lopez, National Political Director Katherine Archuleta, and me.
But for a party to happen in your community, someone has to step up to host it. It's easy and fun to be a host, and it's one of the most important things you can do to help grow Latinos for Obama.
Can you have some people over on Wednesday, April 18th, to celebrate, join the national call, and start planning for the next seven months?
If you're worried about hosting an event like this—don't be. We'll provide you with the tools and materials you need to hold a successful event. We'll also hold a training for hosts a few days before your event to help you prepare, and to answer any questions or concerns you might have.
You'll be playing a big part in leading the conversation about Latinos and this election—and in helping your community organize for November and beyond.
