Barack Obama inspired me four years ago – and he still inspires me today

It’s been a particularly special privilege for me to spend the last few days here in the Granite State. My father kicked off his 1960 campaign at Nashua’s City Hall. The reason I came to New Hampshire this week is simple. Barack Obama inspired me four years ago – and he still inspires me today.

From the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act and the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” to ending the war in Iraq, President Obama has worked hard – and he's delivered on his promises to the American people.

He's supported high-quality teaching and rewarded innovation. He has expanded early childhood education, and made college more affordable by doubling Pell Grant scholarships, getting banks out of the student loan business, and giving a tuition tax break to middle-class families.

Help me support this President by signing up to volunteer right now. He can’t win this election alone. He needs each and every one of us – and everyone we know – to work our hearts out so that he can finish the job.

We know it won’t be easy. The best things never are. But I know we can do it. We have done it before and I look forward to working with you every day from now until November 6 to make sure it happens again.
