A very personal "thank you" to President Obama

Following President Obama’s historic announcement in support of same-sex marriage last month, LGBT supporters across New York have been sharing their pride and enthusiasm with us. Jeremy Markman was lucky enough to meet the President, and shared what the announcement meant to him:
"At an event in May, I was able to shake the President’s hand and personally thank him. I will never forget that day and what it meant. I was not only saying ‘Thank you’ for me, but was saying ‘Thank you’ for all those LGBT people who have and continue to struggle every day just for being who they are.”
