You’ve got to be clear about where you stand and what you mean

President Obama has proven to be a strong and steady Commander-in-Chief, with a clear vision to make Americans safer and maintain our country’s leadership in the world. His policies build on the progress of the last four years, honor our veterans, focus on nation building here at home, and move our country forward, not back.

Here’s a brief rundown on the President’s foreign policy accomplishments:

From veterans:

President Obama promised to work with Russia to reduce the threat of nuclear weapons and signed an historic treaty that just does that. He promised to lock down nuclear materials around the world and he has done just that.”

- Vietnam Veteran and US Senator John Kerry

“President Obama pushed for fairness in the military, listening to commanders as we ended "don't ask, don't tell," and on how to allow women to officially serve in more combat jobs—because America's daughters are just as capable of defending liberty as her sons.”

- Iraq War Veteran Tammy Duckworth

From domestic and international news outlets:

“Obama hits China with steep tire tariffs: The White House…announced it would impose high tariffs on imports of Chinese tires in a case seen as the first test of trade policy under President Barack Obama."

- The Hill 9/11/2009

“Obama 2012 budget has rise in U.S. aid to Israel: The budget proposes $3.075 billion in US military aid for Israel, $75 million more than in fiscal year 2011."

- Globes Israel 2/15/2011

And from President Obama, himself:

“My first job as commander in chief ... is to keep the American people safe. That’s what we’ve done over the last four years. We ended the war in Iraq, refocused our attention on those who actually killed us on 9/11. And as a consequence, al Qaeda's core leadership has been decimated."

"The central question at this point is going to be: Who is going to be credible to all parties involved? And they can look at my track record, whether it's Iran sanctions, whether it's dealing with counterterrorism, whether it's supporting democracy, whether it's supporting women's rights, whether it's supporting religious minorities. And they can say that the President of the United States and the United States of America has stood on the right side of history.”

Stand with President Obama: help his grassroots campaign this weekend and on Election Day.
