An Action Packed Weekend

This weekend OFA-Oregon leaders took our organization to the next level with a record number of door to door canvasses, phone banks and voter registration events.

Veteran volunteers planned how to get out the vote at team meetings in places like Lake Oswego and Oregon City.

Congressman Peter DeFazio helped OFA-OR welcome new volunteers to President Obama’s grassroots team at the Eugene office opening.

Commissioner Loretta Smith and the band Vintage Trouble also helped welcome new volunteers to our movement at OFA-Oregon's’s Portland HQ Open House.

It was a true weekend of action. Check out what some of the volunteers had to say:

Kerry Davis, Downtown Eugene neighborhood team leader:

"It was great to see all the excitement from the community at the Eugene OFA-OR office opening. Supporters of the President and other Democrats are fired up and eager to help in this election."

Colin Blessing, organizing Fellow:

"Students are definitely getting involved. The new Eugene office is a place we can really make our own—it’s fun to be there and work with so many people who care about making this country a better place."

Kate O'Neill, North Portland neighborhood team leader:

"Our door to door canvass was really well-organized and it was great to talk to so many supporters! I loved seeing all the smiling kids and it was an all-around awesome Saturday."

Kathy Gordon, Lake Oswego neighborhood team leader:

"I couldn’t believe how many people came to our team meeting and how many GOTV shifts we scheduled. It was exactly how you dream it should be."

Don’t miss any of the action this coming weekend! Find an event in your own neighborhood where you can pitch in.
