Why We're Caucusing for the President

With the Democratic caucuses just a few days away, we know Barack Obama will be our nominee in Colorado. So you might be wondering, why is it important to come out on March 6 and caucus for the President?

While Republicans will be busy competing for votes in states across the country, we will have a unique opportunity to talk about the incredible progress we've made in Colorado - from fighting for a fairer economy to expanding quality healthcare for millions of people. We can't miss out on this chance to tell the truth about all the work the President has done over the last three years for Coloradans.

We'll also be continuing to grow a grassroots movement that's made up of friends, families and neighbors across the state. This statewide organization will be critical to our success in November. By meeting up at precincts across the state, you'll get to know fellow supporters in your community and learn about the various ways you can make a difference in this election.

Here are a just a few ways you can get involved with the campaign next Tuesday:

  • Commit to Caucus: Show your support by filling out this form saying you will caucus.
  • Learn the Basics: attend a house meeting in your community where we cover the basics of caucusing.
  • Find your Precinct: use this online tool to find out your caucus location.
  • Join Us: Come out to your precinct location on March 6 at 6:00p.m. to stand with President Obama.

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday!

Jen Cheyne,
Colorado State Director
