2011 Summer Organizer Profile: Kale Tells us why he is "In"!

Our 2011 summer organizers are fired up and ready to get involved in their neighborhoods and communities this year. One of our organizers, Kale, has a story that shows the power of social media and online outreach. We asked Kale a few questions about how he decided to get involved and why he believes it is important.

How did you hear about the summer organizer program, and why did you apply?

I heard about the Summer organizer program through an email sent from I was at work, making pizza, when I got the email and immediately filled out the application. I wanted to apply because I knew it would be a great way to help the President get elected in 2012 and to show my support for a man who has done so many great things for this country.

We asked Kale what he looked forward to the most from the summer organizer program, and he replied that

I look forward to getting the community excited to continue standing behind President Obama, meeting new people, and making new friends.

Kale believes it is important to elect President Obama in2012 for several reasons.

I believe it is important to re-elect President Obama for many reasons, but mostly because of his ability to understand the struggles of those in the Middle and Lower Classes. His emphasis on health care reform, gay/women's rights, ending tax cuts for the wealthy, and education, which are all important personal issues to me, is what makes the President stand out. He wants to make this country better for everyone, not just a select few.

We're looking for people to get involved here in Arkansas. People who are ready to pursue the opportunity, show initiative, and start talking with your friends and neighbors. If you're interested in helping this summer, let us know!
