Leadership Pathways Partnership Program

OFA’s Leadership Pathway Partnership Program (LP3) was designed to connect standout leaders in its flagship fellows program, volunteer chapters, staff and volunteer alumni network to progressive partners who are eager to prime them for higher leadership roles in this movement.

LP3 unites emerging leaders looking for advanced services with the organizations that already offer it, ensuring that OFA does not duplicate the existing efforts of other leadership training organizations.

It encourages members of OFA’s network to consider themselves as the type of person who could become an advanced leader in the progressive community. OFA accomplishes this by promoting partners in our training programs; building leadership development curriculum into existing programming; and including guest speakers who have taken next steps to become community or elected leaders at the local, state, and national level.

Partners

The Arena builds communities that activate the next generation of civic leaders. They help promising first time candidates enter the arena and run for office. That’s why The Arena PAC Fellowship provides coaching and direct assistance to candidates as they launch campaigns, develop strategy, and implement plans.

The Collective builds Black political power through educating and equipping voters, donors, and candidates with various resources including trainings, technical assistance, paid communications, and fundraising.

Emerge America is a non-profit national political organization based in San Francisco with the mission to increase the number of Democratic women leaders from diverse background in public office through recruitment, training, and providing a powerful network.

New Leaders Council (NLC) is the hub for progressive Millennial thought leadership. Anchored by its six-month training program, the NLC Institute, NLC equips leaders with the skills to run for office, manage campaigns, create start-ups and networks of thought leaders. NLC leaders take their activism back into their communities and workplaces to impact progressive change.

Run for Something helps recruit and support young, diverse progressives to run for down-ballot races in order to build a bench for the future . Run For Something aims to lower the barriers to entry for these candidates by helping them with seed money, organization building, and access to trainings needed to be successful.

Victory Institute is the only national organization dedicated to elevating openly LGBTQ leaders who can further equality at all levels of government. Through training and professional development programs, Victory Institute assists hundreds of individuals each year who go on to influential careers in politics, government, business, and advocacy.

Wellstone believes that electoral politics, public policy, and grassroots organizing can be woven together to create progressive change. They believe that to sustain change over the long haul, we need to develop a critical mass of diverse leaders with the motivation and expertise to win back our values.

BLUE Institute is a program designed to recruit and train young people of color seeking to become leaders, strategists and key staff members of progressive electoral campaigns.
